Some History
Named after Rabbi Shlomo Freifeld, zt”l, (founder of Yeshivas Sh’or Yoshuv in Far Rockaway, NY) Lev Shlomo encourages each student to live up to his full potential. Reb Shlomo believed that the excellence of a gifted student is a wonderful thing. However, Reb Shlomo believed that more wonderful was when a student of more modest talents and abilities achieves his full potential. Lev Shlomo is here to attend to the cries of our youth in this challenging generation, before these youths get caught in a downward thrust, which often leads to ruinous patterns.
With siyata dishmaya, we at Lev Shlomo have seen our alumni develop into capable, productive adults. Many of our alumni are now learning in various yeshivos or kollels, furthering their education, and giving back to the community.
